The new facility was constructed adjacent to the existing HSE facility which it replaced. The development consists of multi bay single storey construction fully equipped to the current modern health care and accessibility standards necessary for this type of specialist residential psychiatric care. This new facility was constructed adjacent to the existing HSE facility which remained in full operation during the works.

Horganlynch acted as the Civil/Structural design consultants for this project and worked closely with the Client Project team, the facility management and the other design team members. This project was successfully delivered on time and within budget to the client’s specified timescale. Horganlynch provided the necessary Civil/Structural design provisions in connection with the procurement of all statutory permissions i.e. Planning & Fire Certs etc.., and were also responsible for the design of all civil infrastructural provision to this facility.

This included innovative specialist SUDS storm drainage attenuation design which we developed to protect the adjoining golf club from potential flooding due to the site development.

A detailed site management plan was developed at pre tender stage by Horganlynch in conjunction with the client and design team. This plan was further developed and implemented in collaboration with the main Contractor, Walls Construction, and all traffic, neighbours and adjacent site/operation issues were successfully dealt with during the project implementation.
